Tottering-By-Gently Series

Wentworth produced jigsaws for Annie Tempest under the range title 'Tottering-By-Gently', packed in green boxes. They also included them in their own ranges, as shown by the undated looseleaf catalogue sheet and a twin pack in the cream box era.

The dates of the range are uncertain. Some of the artwork is dated as 2002. At least one jigsaw is known from the cream box era - its artwork appears to be 2013/15, and the pack says celebrationg 25 Years (from Summer 2018, of Tottering-By-Gently). This is a 2x125pc pack, and all the other examples are 250pc.

Annie Tempest's career began in 1985 with the success of her first book, How Green Are Your Wellies. She has produced cartoons for the Daily Express, The Daily Mail and Country Life Magazine. Since 1993 Daffy and Dicky Tottering have featured in Tottering-by-Gently - a weekly strip cartoon in Country Life Magazine.
