CinemaScope

Believed to be of c.1957 manufacture, this range of six panoramic aspect cardboard jigsaw puzzles feature colourful artistic representations of some of the world's best known cities.

CinemaScope was a method of projecting onto a very wide screen (aspect ratio c.2.5:1) using a single lens technology. It was widely used in films made in the 1950's and 60's to give a more dramatic presentation in competition with television.

All are illustrated apart from Stockholm, design no. 855.
