Bird Watching

Victory jigsaw produced for children at some time during the Hayter ownership, but presumably after 1952 (it was not listed in the 1952 Victory Catalogue). In his book Brian Price records the title in the 1963 & 1967 Catalogues. (It was made in two styles, this one and a tray puzzle BW3.)

Victory Bird Watching Jigsaw, BW1 80pc "A wood Puzzle with 20 Cut-out Birds", made from 0.25in ply. The birds are surrounded by a thin green line and are accurately line-cut. Each bird is discretely labelled near to its location. Although not exactly to scale the birds appear in appropriate places in the landscape.

The jigsaw is housed in a flat-pack box.
