Untitled-Venice

The cutting of this semi-interlocking, solid wood jigsaw puzzle is very reminiscent of a German Zag-Zaw, from Raphael Tuck, but without its original box there is no certainty over this. See this example David Copperfield to compare.
Several other German manufacturers have also employed similar styles, so my instinct leads towards there as its likely country of manufacturer.
The scene is of Venice, but I have not identified the artist and I estimate the puzzle to be of early 20th century origin.
