Fyne Ladye Jig-Saw Puzzle

Messrs. Henry Stone & Son Ltd of Banbury and London, Manufacturers of Fyne Ladye Furniture, presumably commissioned the manufacture of a number of these excellent 4ply jigsaws to sell within their furniture stores.
I guess this dates from the Mid-Late 1930's.
The famous old nursery rhyme has been cleverly tailored to promote the Company's values. This has been cut in very skilful way, even including two drop-outs-or areas within the puzzle, which have been deliberately discarded. The actual cutting style bears similarities to that of several of the major cutters, Chad Valley and Delta, to name just two, whilst the shaped outline is rather more synonymous with Holtzapffel. Maybe these were actually cut by the furniture makers themselves, calling on their knowledge of these other manufacturers. Whatever the history of it, there is no doubting its quality.
