4938-"L"

Highly original jigsaw puzzle creation from Sara White, cut in the 1990s for the British Jigsaw Puzzle Library. Colour line-cut throughout and with an irregular edge, it proved a very pleasant challenge to assemble, especially without a guide picture.
Whilst the box label carries the letter I as its title, this should almost certainly be entitled L, with reference to the number of subjects captured within the colourful painting. My list reads:
Lifeboat, Liner, Lobster, Lorry, Logs, Labrador, Lolly, Letter, Lemon, Leeks, Lettuce, Loaf, Ladder, Lady, Lead, Love-heart, Lion. Can you spot any more?

Whilst not signed, the painting is believed to be by the brilliant British illustrator Jenny Williams, whose paintings were widely used as artwork for library puzzles. See Richard Sawbridge's puzzle entitled "B" for another example.
