Francis Chichester's Gypsy Moth IV

A wooden puzzle by Philmar to mark Francis Chichester's famous circumnavigation of the world in 1966-7 in the yacht Gypsy Moth IV and featuring photos take by him during the voyage.

Gypsy Moth IV has subsequently been restored and is currently in service with the Thames Yacht Club.

The jigsaw is semi-interlocking strip cut and was maybe intended to fit in the flat square box like a "tray" puzzle. However, it is slightly too large! This example has six missing pieces.
