5247-Jungle Watchers
600 piece semi-interlocking plywood example from this magnificent cutter, entitled Jungle Watchers and featuring very colourful artwork, originally created as a wrapping paper design.
Entering library circulation in 1982, this puzzle is estimated to be of c1980-82 production.
The combination of cutting styles is familiar to all fans of Eric Pedley puzzles, with an interlocking and very stylish, waved edge, along with superb colour line-cutting at every turn!
The puzzle took over a week of fairly concerted effort to complete, with almost every minute an enjoyable and happy one, such is the nature of most of his puzzle creations.
Having completed it, I realised that we also had another, similarly numbered and titled puzzle on the library shelves, this one cut by major British manufacturer Victory. I set about locating it and piecing it together, and despite being larger and with an extra 200 pieces, had the entire assembly process completed in only a matter of a few hours!
The larger Victory puzzle, from which the artist information was captured, can be seen
Here.
