Royal Henley Regatta

Colourful, oval outline interlocking plywood jigsaw puzzle, made for the library by the talented British cutter Rob Garner c2005 and featured as part of the BCD Show and Tell display at Bourton-on-the-Water in June 2024.

The style is fully interlocking with minimal line-cutting, probably at the request of the library management, who commissioned puzzles in differing styles and sizes to accommodate the varying preferences of the membership. The jigsaw does not include any whimsies.

The unsigned painting has likely origins as a promotional poster.

This is one of more than 120 jigsaws cut for the library by Rob Garner (Amber Puzzles) during 2002-8, under the stewardship of Dave Cooper. Over his career Rob used a small range of figurals, but the ones most often included were a heart & R (which he usually signed), and his dog Rufus.
