2433-X

Another example of library puzzle featuring one of British artist/illustrator Jenny Williams' very colourful educational alphabet paintings. In this puzzle, cutter Richard Sawbridge has created a 734 piece, non-interlocking, plywood puzzle with an irregular lower edge and widespread colour line-cutting.

The 1972 dated painting has encapsulated as many possible items and actions within the setting to match the letter "X". Obvious examples include: Exercise book, fix-it glue, taxi and Rex. How many more can you spot?

The library is fortunate to have a significant number of puzzles from this series of paintings and they always prove popular with the members. See another similar Richard Sawbridge example covering the letter "B".
