23. New Year's Bathing Party, A (150 piece)

Number 23 from the extensive South African series of puzzles, this Charles Eddowes Turner painting captures five bathers celebrating the New Year in fine style. This is the smaller 150-piece version with a slightly reduced picture but which still captures the full essence of Turner's artistry.

The box lid of this example features a black & white guide picture and a previous owner has inscribed their address in Reigate, Surrey. The box-base list features titles up to number 33, probably placing this example quite late in production timings. It also bears an original purchase price of 2/6.
