River Homestead, The

A picture by the American artist Milton H. Lowell (1848 - 1927) depicting a riverside scene, presumably in New England, with some houses and a bridge.

The puzzle is push-fit and cut in six sections so many pieces are of similar shape and easy to fit in the wrong position. This identifies the maker as William Peacock who cut this item for sale in Hamley's branches. An old newspaper left inside the box is dated September 1921.
