Farm by the River, The

Small plywood jigsaw puzzle, probably of c1915 manufacture and featuring an unsigned painting, possibly by either Henry John Yeend King or his daughter Lilian. Several Jigasaurus entries feature paintings attributed to this family. See here. Cut in the semi-interlocking style the puzzle features one figural shape piece.

Like other examples in this album, the box and puzzle designs closely match those of W.G. Evans and the Jig Saw Puzzle Co. Like others the print also carries the "Oilette" logo and legend of Raphael Tuck & Sons, likely the manufacturers of them all.
