Jumbo (and Falcon post 1996)

The "Red Elephant" is the logo of Jumbo Games B.V. based in Amsterdam, Holland and which make a wide variety of toys, games and puzzles. The company dates back to 1853, started selling jigsaw puzzles made by others after WW2 and have manufactured them in house since 1967.

In 1996 their parent company Hausemann & Hotte purchased the British company Falcon Games Limited and their operation was taken over by Jumbo Games. They continued to, and still do, sell puzzles with the "Falcon de Luxe" brand but bearing the "Jumbo" logo so all these "Falcon" jigsaws made after 1996 are listed here under "Jumbo".

The distinctive "Wasgij" puzzles were introduced in 1997, ie after the Falcon takeover.
