Royal Yacht Britannia, The

The Royal Yacht Britannia was commissioned in 1954 and taken out of service in 1997 by which time she had travelled over one million miles.

The box base gives a full history and details of her construction but, in a nutshell, it was used extensively by Queen Elizabeth II for royal visits, recreation and to promote overseas trade.

It is now permanently moored at Leith, near Edinburgh where it is a a major visitor attraction.

The puzzle depicts eight photos taken on board and an overhead view of her on her final voyage.

From the bottom left the naval signal flags spell out the following message:-
